2010 Sperry Reunion

WHERE: CHARLESTON, SC, APRIL 22-25, 2010

At the Colorado Springs reunion, the members present voted to have the 2010 reunion in Fall River, MA. Some time later, the decision was made to change the location to Charleston, SC, which was the second choice. We will be staying at the Sheraton Charleston Airport Hotel @ 4470 Goer Drive, North Charleston, SC 29406, phone: 743-747-1900 or 843-744-2530 (The phone contact person there is Jacquelyn Todd).

THERE ARE PLANS FOR A PATRIOT’S POINT TOUR:

The tour is scheduled for Friday, April 23, 2010 from 1:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. You can check out the web site for Patriot’s Point HERE. Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum is home to the USS Laffey (DD724) and a fleet of historic ships, including the USS Yorktown and USS Clamagore, as well as the Medal of Honor Museum, Cold War Submarine Memorial and the Vietnam Naval Support Base. This is the only exhibit of its kind in the United States, which provides a first-hand look at life on the front lines.

We won’t get to visit the Laffey because of recently completed repairs and won’t be ready for visitors for a while. Maybe next time!
